MUSTANG MOTORCYCLE TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our friendly representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Settle in, relax, and prepare for the thrilling adventure that awaits. Explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, or take in a sunset view from Swayambhunath, the famous “Monkey Temple.”
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (210 km, 6 hours)
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara, a city nestled beside the serene Phewa Lake and surrounded by the majestic Annapurna mountain range. The journey takes you through lush valleys, terraced fields, and charming villages. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely evening by the lake, with the snowy peaks reflecting on the water.
Day 03: Pokhara to Tatopani (125 km, 5 hours)
The adventure begins as you ride from Pokhara to Tatopani, a route that gradually ascends through stunning landscapes. The journey takes you through lush forests and along the Kali Gandaki River. Arriving in Tatopani, you can unwind in the natural hot springs, soothing your muscles after the day’s ride.
Day 04: Tatopani to Kagbeni (2800 M, 66 km off-road, 5 hours)
Today’s ride is pure adventure as you tackle the rugged, off-road trail from Tatopani to Kagbeni. The route offers breathtaking views of the towering Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri mountains as you ascend into the Mustang region. Kagbeni, a quaint village at the confluence of two rivers, welcomes you with its ancient Tibetan architecture and peaceful atmosphere.
Day 05: Kagbeni – Muktinath – Jomsom (50 km, Full day)
Set out early for a full day of exploration as you ride from Kagbeni to the sacred site of Muktinath, perched at nearly 4,000 meters. The road is steep and challenging, but the spiritual atmosphere and panoramic mountain views are well worth the effort. After visiting the Muktinath temple, revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, descend to the bustling town of Jomsom, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 06: Jomsom to Tatopani (55 km, 4 hours off-road)
The return journey takes you back to Tatopani, retracing your route through the dramatic landscapes of the Mustang region. The off-road experience is just as exhilarating as before, with the added bonus of returning to the soothing hot springs of Tatopani for a well-deserved soak.
Day 07: Tatopani to Pokhara (125 km, 5 hours)
Bid farewell to the high-altitude wonders as you ride back to Pokhara. The journey is filled with scenic beauty, descending from the rugged mountains back into the lush, green valleys. Once in Pokhara, enjoy a peaceful evening by the lakeside or explore the city’s vibrant nightlife.
Day 08: Rest Day in Pokhara
Take a well-earned break to explore Pokhara at your own pace. You might visit the World Peace Pagoda, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake, or even try paragliding for a bird’s-eye view of the stunning landscape. This is your day to relax, recharge, and reflect on the incredible journey.
Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu (210 km, 6 hours)
The adventure concludes as you ride back to Kathmandu. The scenic drive offers one last chance to soak in the beauty of Nepal’s countryside. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can enjoy a final evening in the capital, perhaps visiting the vibrant markets or enjoying a traditional Nepali meal.
Summary: This itinerary offers the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty, providing an unforgettable motorcycle journey through some of Nepal’s most spectacular landscapes. It will be an exhausting but adventurous and wonderful experience of ride in your life. Day 10: Kathmandu to Lukla – Trek to Phakding (4 hrs, 2,610m)
Begin your journey with a briefing from your trek guide about the adventure ahead. Afterward, you’ll be driven to the airport for an exhilarating flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a scenic trek through charming villages, lush forests, and alongside the Dudh Koshi River, reaching the serene town of Phakding by late afternoon.
Day 11: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (6-7 hrs, 3,450m)
Today’s trek takes you across suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags, through pine forests, and into the heart of the Sagarmatha National Park. The trail offers the first glimpses of Everest as you climb to the bustling Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, the region’s main trading hub and your home for the night.
Day 12: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar
Acclimatize at Namche Bazaar, exploring its vibrant market and surrounding areas. Consider a short hike to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, or visit the Sherpa Culture Museum to immerse yourself in local traditions.
Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (6-7 hrs, 3,864m)
Continue your trek with stunning views of Everest and Ama Dablam as you make your way to Tengboche. This peaceful village is home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, where you can witness a Buddhist ceremony and enjoy breathtaking mountain vistas.
Day 14: Tengboche to Dingboche (6-7 hrs, 4,410m)
The trail today leads you through the picturesque Imja Valley, crossing rivers and passing through rhododendron forests. As you ascend to Dingboche, you’ll notice the landscape becoming more rugged and sparse, a true high-altitude experience.
Day 15: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Spend the day acclimatizing in Dingboche, taking a leisurely walk to the nearby village of Chhukung. Enjoy the views of Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu, and return to Dingboche for a restful night before the higher altitudes of the coming days.
Day 16: Dingboche to Lobuche (6-7 hrs, 4,930m)
The trail climbs steadily towards Lobuche, offering majestic views of the Khumbu Glacier. You’ll pass the Thukla Pass, a moving memorial site for climbers who lost their lives on Everest, before arriving at the remote and quiet village of Lobuche.
Day 17: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp – Gorakshep (7-8 hrs, 5,364m)
Today is the highlight of the trek as you journey to Everest Base Camp. The path takes you over rocky terrain along the Khumbu Glacier, eventually reaching the iconic base camp. After soaking in the awe-inspiring views, you’ll return to Gorakshep for the night.
Day 18: Climb Kala Patthar (5643M) – Helicopter to Lukla – Flight to Kathmandu
Start early for the climb to Kala Patthar, the highest point of the trek, offering unparalleled views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. After descending to Gorakshep, you’ll board a helicopter for a scenic flight back to Lukla, followed by a regular flight to Kathmandu (if time permits), where you’ll enjoy a well-deserved rest.
Day 19: Reserve Day in Kathmandu
This day is reserved in case of delays in Lukla. If you arrived in Kathmandu on Day 18, use this day to explore the city’s cultural sites or relax at your hotel.
Day 20: Departure
Bid farewell to Nepal as we arrange your transfer to the airport for your onward journey, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Everest adventure.
